The success of Heart of Compassion has always depended on the goodness of others and the faithfulness of God. Because of God's faithfulness, despite the many weeks when we despaired of attaining enough food to distribute, we always did. And, without the dedication of our devoted volunteers most of our efforts on behalf of the needy could never have happened. We could never repay the hundreds of volunteers required to fulfill our mission. Their gift of time and energy continues to be a major blessing to many..

As evident from our history, HOC wasn't planned; it evolved. We weren't up all night talking about what we could do if only we had the funds. While others talked about it, WE JUST DID IT.

Nevertheless, we have reached a pivotal time in our development. The fact is:

CORPORATE CONTRIBUTIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS:

SPONSOR AN EVENT
Heart of Compassion is looking for a few good companies! The Food Bank would like to "partner" with companies sensitive to the issue of hunger in our communities, and eager to take advantage of the opportunities that sponsorship provides.

It costs $2500 to put on our monthly Community Day Events. Imagine! Your company can sponsor an Event that impacts an entire community by spending only $2500, which in turn provides for the distribution of more than $100,000 worth of food and general merchandise to the hungry and poor in our communities. Seems like a sound investment!

Sponsorships can also have outstanding marketing benefits for a corporation as well. Sponsorships will be announced and prominently displayed at the Event itself, as well as on our website, in all our printed materials, and in all press.

SPONSOR A GOAL
On our Mission Page, the goals of Heart of Compassion were listed. Many of these goals have been realized, and others will be greatly enhanced through event sponsorship and continuing donations. However, our goal of becoming an Emergency Family Assistance Center requires special targeted funding in order to provide consistent emergency resources as well as full-time trained spiritual and crisis counselors for families in need.

IN-KIND DONATIONS
As always, Heart of Compassion depends upon, and gladly welcomes, in-kind contributions from clubs, organizations and companies. If you want to help, consider making a donation of food, personal care items, clothing, toys, medicines and medical supplies, household items, or relief items such as blankets, towels, sleeping bags etc. Clubs and organizations often find this to be a good way to help make a difference.
